Happy New Year from the Pantry and Thank You for Your Support During the Holidays

Thank you to everyone who helped us provide support to those in need over the holidays. Please see the pictures below of all the help we received. We received food donations from the following organizations:

  • Costco
  • Savers
  • UTEP Alumni Association
  • Chase Bank
  • El Paso Texas Flags Across America
  • Wyndham Hotels
  • Socorro Independent School District
  • Robert Luarte Elementary School

Special thanks to Elizabeth Blankenship, Food and Beverage Director of Wyndham Hotels, for your donation of two holiday turkeys to the pantry. Even though it has been 16 years since Mrs. Corothers has worked there, she can still feel the love from the staff and it was the best 10 years she had working there.

A big thanks to all of the people who donated food and clothing to the pantry, without you none of this is possible! Thanks Rachel and Alfred for nominating the pantry for your food drive. Thanks to Willie Barber and his daughter for the donations of toys, children coats, and blankets for the Christmas Dinner and Toy Giveaway. Thank you Gloria Rubio for your donation of food and clothing to help raise money for the pantry. The passing of Kristi Moss brought beautiful flowers to the pantry, thank you for your blessing, it was truly appreciated.

A special thanks to Kassandra James who donated a brand new refrigerator for the pantry, thank you so much!

The pantry is also in desperate need of a computer to help manage the charity. Please contact the pantry at (915) 222-4740 if you can help.

Thanks again for all of your support!!

The YOU EAt I EAt Community Unity Food Pantry Continues to Help Those in Need

Thanks to the donation of Hardy Davidsons of El Paso we were able to place a homeless woman in a hotel for a week to bring her out of the cold and assisted her with the Mobile Social Services Unit to reinstate her benefits. We also gave her a couple of job leads. The pantry only wishes her the best and may everything work out for you. Special thanks to Denny's who gave the pantry a special discount to feed the homeless woman.

A special thank you to Kassandra James who sent several donations to feed El Pasoans all the way from New York City!

Thank you to the staff of the Rio Norte, Independent Retirement Living Center who allowed the pantry to attend the Holiday Christmas Fair on December 3rd. The pantry made some very pretty cakes for the fundraiser.

The pantry is in need of food and a refrigerator. Monetary donations are in such great need on a regular basis, please help to keep the pantry alive and donate.

Thank You for all of Your Support!
